    Zilico Ltd has secured a further £750K investment in addition to the £1M announced in June 2012. The additional investment is from The North West Fund for BioMedical, managed by Spark Impact, new investors and existing investors.

  • Zilico strengthens Medical Advisory Board

    Zilico Ltd has announced that it has strengthened its Medical Advisory Board (MAB) with the appointment of three new members. Zilico has appointed J. Thomas Cox, MD, Dr Gerd Bohmer and Mr Narendra Pisal to its MAB, joining Professor Walter Prendeville, Mr John Smith and Mr John Tidy. Mr Tidy, Consultant Gynaecologist at Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, and clinical founder of Zilico will chair the MAB.

  • £985,000 investment in cervical cancer diagnostics device

    A PIONEERING company which has developed a technology to speed up and improve cervical cancer diagnosis has received £985,000 in investment funding. Zilico Limited has received a £750,000 investment from The North West Fund for Biomedical, managed by SPARK Impact and a further £235,000 from new and existing investors, including Fusion IP plc.

    Mr John Tidy, Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital Sheffield and founder of Zilico, is the recipient of the Best Scientific Paper Award for his oral abstract presentation, “Improved Colposcopic Performance using Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (APX 100) as an Adjunct” at the ASCCP Biennial Scientific Meeting 2012 in San Francisco.
