Professor Tidy guest lecturer at South Asian cancer conference

Zilico Ltd’s clinical founder, Professor John Tidy, has been invited by the Delhi State Cancer Institutes to participate in an international cancer conference in India.

The “International Workshop on Cancer Awareness, Prevention, Screening and Early Detection for SAARC Nations (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation)” takes places in New Delhi, India, from February 29 – March 3.

As a Faculty speaker, Professor Tidy will contribute to the international “Women Cancers” symposium, co-chairing a series of lectures presented under the topic of Cervical Neoplasia and presenting on: “Epidemiology – The UK Experience” plus  “NHS Cervical Screening Program – Could Their Success Story Be Our Role Model”.

The conference is expected to attract more than 500 delegates, including health ministers, health secretaries, ambassadors, embassy staff, senior clinicians, directors of hospitals and industry bodies from across the SAARC region.

The eight SAARC counties are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
